At Microsoft, Luis co-founded the Office Live division in 2005, leading a worldwide marketing and engineering team through three successful product launches, reaching over one million active customers in less than 30 months as the first SOHO and small-business-focused service from Microsoft that is monetized through advertising revenue.

Prior to Office Live, Luis was Marketing General Manager for MSN Services for Small Businesses. Luis also led Microsoft’s worldwide middle-market sales from 2000 to 2004, during which the billion-dollar business experienced steady double-digit growth thanks to improvements in the structure of the sales cycle, integration with the international channel model and focus on KPIs. He started his career with Microsoft in 1997 in Latin America, and prior to joining Microsoft; he held leadership roles with Xerox and ABB in Latin America (1988–1997).

Passionate about leadership and execution, Luis mentors senior managers at Microsoft, Amazon, Media Trust and other Fortune 500 companies as well as entrepreneurs in Seattle, Portland and Silicon Valley.
